Avoid repairs and breakdowns that can be expensive.
Who runs the course?
We started holding Bush mechanic courses in 2011 after a fellow Overlander ask if he could pay for a days tuition on how to maintain, mend, and made do.
As I keen overlander himself Benjamin Stowe thought he would put his knowledge and skill to good use and teach other like minded people about the fine art of keeping an overland vehicle on the move.
What vehicles do we cover?
As most of the vehicles taken overland are Defender, Discovery 1, RRC. The whole course is based around their specific systems and mechanics.
Apart from just demonstrating and talking about the systems. We offer a hands on approach to teaching you.
What subjects do we cover?
We are a big believer there’s nothing better then getting your hands dirty and part of the course is changing a wheel bearing on your Land Rover.
We cover the following key areas:
- Front Axle/ suspension
- Braking System
- Prop shafts
- Transmission / engine
- Wheel bearings
- Fuel systems
- Cooling Systems
The last part of the day we invite our students to bring their own vehicles on to one of our lifts to talk about specific items on their Land Rover.
What does it cost and when do they run?
The chances are that spending a day with us will probably repay your investment many times over on any series trip.
Courses are run thought out the Spring and Summer months. It is a full day starting at 09.00 and ending around 17.00 Lunch is included in the price. There are between 3 and 6 people on a course.
£250 per person
